What do they mean when they say it takes a year?

Kudos to your energy! From what I have been told (my son is 9 months old), your hips will remain slightly wider (bone structure) and your mid section will carry more weight. C-sections make this worse as they cut through your stomach muscles and it takes quite a while for those muscles to come back! Keep working and I bet you will look fantastic!
