Marriages are not made up of categories or stereotypes - they are made from individual people. The cirstances in any given marriage will be unique to the two people in the marriage - and I can tell you from experience, that you can't tell what you would actually do when faced with an actual situation, based on what you THINK you might do in advance. So all of the dismissive, punitive. angry, misogynistic posts you are going to get on this topic from people who haven't experienced it, will be just so much air. The fact is, it depends - depends on whether or not you have kids, whether or not you otherwise have a sound marriage, what the nature of the cheating was, etc. etc.
