Would you expect diethyl ether to be soluble in water and why?

To some extent it is soluble, but in large quantities it is insoluble. dietheyl ether is nonpolar and it is therefore hydrophobic. CH3CH2-O-CH2CH3 the dipole moment is 0 because the electrons are being pulled to the oxygen in opposite directions.
