Will she ever see me more than just a friend?

I have big crush on this girl. We both laugh at each other's jokes, we respect each other and we always have a really good time together. I ended up moving farther away and now we contact eachother via phone calling. I asked her out before, but she sort of rejected me because she umed that i was going to break her heart or something, that i would run off with some other girl, some thing like that. My friends tell me that she was just probably giving me all these stupid reasons so I can get off her back but whatever. People that know me would never ume that of me, i would never do that to her or any girl for that matter. We remained best friends, we went to two b-ball games together (she loves basketball so i thought that she'd love the Staples center) and had a blast. Do you think that she umed that i was too good to be true, because I would always be a gentleman and would always be nice. Did she think i was a fake? My friends told me that she was just a gold digger, but i don't let myself become blinded by lies. It's just so hard to forget her and she's always on my mind. The thing that brought my hopes down was when she didn't want to be my valentine. She probably thought i was asking her out but I wasn't. She said that she wouldn't want to go out with anyone ( because her ex was a real ) but i just wish she would give me a chance to prove that there are guys out there that aren't , guys that really do love their girl for who they are, regardless of their looks. Need I say more? Tell me friends, will she ever want to become more than just friends, or should i forget this crush and move on?
