R&p: What is it about your favorite band that only YOU understand about them?

One of my all-time favorite bands is The Cult. I am not sure what it is about Ian Astbury, but I feel so much when I hear him sing. He can take me to a place where I can see what he is feeling, or I can feel what he is saying I suppose. I can close my eyes and put together all the history I know of him and feel its influence on the music. I love the Native American influence, the British and American influences. I also feel I connect to the subjects in his songs. I would love to sit down and talk with him some time.
