Mortician in maine college requirements?

I read aprior post detailing becoming a mortician in maine that said that there might be a possible loophole in the mortuary school in that in maine you might be able to use any two year degree as a requirement (although I believe that a medical feild degree might help)was thereever any follow up on that and if so is this true moving out of the state is in no way possible to me although the funeral directors of america contact said that I could go online and end up only gone for a few months
