Information on Army to Air Force?

Does anyone know if the air force is still not accepting prior service? My husband is army. His re-enlistment is coming up and we are exploring all of our options. I have lived on several army posts and grown up around army and air forces bases in San Antonio, plus my step-dad is retired airforce. It is my opinion the air force bases, facilities, housing, morale, etc. are much better. I would love for my husband to explore this option, but he is deployed and doesn't have access to really look into it. I have two very young kids and don't have time to haul them to a recruiter's office, so any advice and information is much appreciated!! Thanks.
