I cancelled on this guy twice in a row because of a family emergency. What do i do?

he probably doesnt know where u stand on ur relationship because he doesnt know all the details. All he knows is u cancelled on him twice. But my guess is if he is wishing ur family well and bothering to event text u at all is that he still interested
