Are lentils good for babies?

Woohoo this feels like reaching a milestone. My 4.5 month old son was eying my food hungrily so i gave him about 2 spoon fulls of mashed up green peas, lentils and rice (I was eating this Indian rice and lentil thing called khichri) and he seemed to like the taste although he could not eat a lot. This was our first rehearsal of eating solid food.I am excited. But was it good for him? I know he is way too young for solid food so i wont repeat it often (but maybe off and on) till he is 6 month old.
